Lounge chairs stolen from the clubhouse.
I heard that we had lounge chairs taken from the club house. Be alert if you see anyone in the area at night.
Stolen pool chairs
The chairs were stolen from the pool area several weeks ago. One of the thieves had a guilty conscience and reported the second thief (who kept all of the chairs) to the Belmont Police. Brown and Glenn, the management company was able to view the security tape from the gate and determine the make and model of the truck used in the theft. They also determined which gate code was used. Several codes have now been changed. Brown and Glenn also reviewed the security cameras in the pool area and we now have pictures of the the thieves. Belmont Police are following up on this situation.

Clubhouse theft
Rumor is that we are not getting our chairs back, nor any compensation, and a decision was made not to prosecute. Hope it's not true and if someone has better facts that would be welcomed.
Stolen Chairs
The police are actively pursuing the case with the information they have from the informant who reported the incident and the information we have from our security systems. The informant took pictures of the chairs at thief's home, but we were told the thief observed the informant taking the pictures. So the possiblity of retrieving the chairs is problematic. The videos at the pool area that were taken of the theft and the videos at the entrance of a truck that appears to be the one used in the theft are being turned over to the police. The truck matches the description of the truck the informant reported as the one used in the theft.
The Board does intend to prosecute the thieves; the Board may not bring charges against the informant who reported the theft if that informant continues to cooperate with the police. Neil Brennan

What ever happened here? Are we getting compensation for the chairs? Have the thieves been prosecuted?
