Incident in RP last night

Last night (Fri) around 9:00 pm, we had an incident involving an obviously drunk individual roaming around RP. He was screaming and cursing incoherently, with frequent references to "New York." He was approached and asked if he needed help. He continued screaming and proceeded to assault one of our neighbors. This person was around 6'2" or 6'3" and was rather heavy, 240-250 lbs, with short hair, and wearing a t-shirt and shorts. He was probably mid-30s to mid-40s. This continued for about 15 minutes, at which time a man and woman (in their 60s or 70's) pulled up in a small, dark colored car (possibly a Honda or Toyota) and eventually got him in their car and left. The older people obviously knew this man. After this altercation, the drunk man's face was bloodied and bruised.

Police were called and 6-8 police cars responded, both Belmont and Gaston County. They made a complete sweep of all of the roads in the subdivision, but apparently did not find the man. If anyone has any information about this man, call the Belmont Police.

We have determined who was responsible for the incident on Gladelynn Ct. on Friday night. There was a social event at the Clubhouse. An intoxicated, uninvited guest (who was known to those at the event) was refused admission to the event. He proceeded to wander around the neighborhood and initiated the activities previously described. He was picked up by relatives later on Friday and returned to New York (where he is from) on Saturday.
